Olin is sick

the kiddo is sick now... measles....or what most Pinoy refer as tigdas hangin... brought Olin to her Pedia today and it was confirmed. remember she has fever during her birthday, it lasted until yesterday, abruptly the fever went off last night and rashes just sprouted out of her face and her whole body this morning. that made me panicked and all, rushed her to the clinic and she was given a prescription of vitamin A doze. no need to worry said her pedia, it is a common thing for babies below 1 year. but expect the kiddo to be in her cranky mood...she is now actually. she wants to be carried all the time. pity baby... i hate seeing her like this... makes my heart hurt so much :(

she's sleeping right now beside me thus making me able to blog, need to finish some opps due today.
thanks for visiting my site and i hope you have a good week ahead!

Oh, I am sorry to hear that your little one had the measles. Is she well now? I'm not sure when you posted about it, but I think it was just a couple of days ago. If so, then I imagine that she is not over it yet.

So your pediatrician eases the measles by giving Vitamin A? That is interesting to me. Here in America many children are immunized or vaccinated to prevent measles, and I wonder if your country vaccinates? Or are the children allowed to catch the measles if it happens?

Personally, I do not believe in our vaccination program here in the USA. I believe it is mostly a money-making industry for the pharmaceutical companies. My way of thinking is that there are very few, if any, diseases that a child could not be treated for should they get it, like measles or chicken pox, so why subject their little bodies with the chemicals and other questionable ingredients in vaccines and making their bodies fight if they don't have to?

I have 3 children, ages 9, 6 and 3. I vaccinated my 1st child like a good mommy was supposed to until I started researching our vaccines. I stopped vaccinating my oldest child at age 5 or 6 and regret having vaccinated her at all. She had a reaction to the last one, and that was one I was planning on refusing, but felt pressured into her being given the vaccine. My 2nd baby didn't receive anymore after age 2 (the same time my oldest didn't get anymore), and my youngest is now 3, going on 4 in June, and he has not been vaccinated at all. Not one shot ever! And he is healthy and never been sick besides the common cold or runny nose.

So I was curious how our countries might handle childhood illnesses differently.

Anyway, I found your site/blog through payperpost, you are listed as a top blogger, and so I came over to see your blog. I like your blog. Your baby is precious and I chuckled at the first birthday party pictures. My first child's first birthday was very special, too. There's just nothing like a first birthday. :) I loved all the balloons! I have to find out how to make those balloon flowers.

Take care of yourselves and I'll visit on your blog more.
