Camera Critters #3

I really find Owl a scary bird ever since. I dunno really when and how this scare thing started, but whenever I see one now it scares the whole out of me! It just gives me goose bumps all over! According to the old folks, when you accidentally saw an Owl it means BAD LUCK or when you have it as a pet.

Anyways this type of Owl is a BARN OWL. And according to my husband who really digs everything about animals, the owl is the only type of bird that has a built in silencer in their wings, they can fly without any noise at all! because of the unique design of the feathers under its wings! Opposite to the Hornbill Bird also known as the locomotive of the jungle who flies in the air so loud, it creates a chugging sound when it flaps its wings, sounds like a locomotive train as per say.

So there, another trivia for my Camera Critters entry before I hit to the mall to get myself some best buy

He is so cool. In the winter I go on Owl Watches. I have seen a couple short-ear owls. We went into a field at dusk to look for another bird, (I can't remember the name right now), and me and another guy kept saying, "What is that? Hello. What is this?" A hugh big bird in flight. When the others finally looked they said it was a great horned owl. Well it was great and big. And yes silent. It flew over us a second time. I wish it was lighter out to really get a better look at it.

Cool information about owls! I have a bird today too. I think in medieval England, a white owl was supposed to signify bad luck, like the specter of death. The Welch word for the white owl was Gwynnefar, another name for Guenevere, who was King Arthur's wife and Queen.

Trivia! Don't you just love it? :D

I often hear Barn Owls flying around at night when I am out and about watching meteors. I think I have seen one only twice. Nice shot.
