It was another Sunday well spent day at my folks house, my mom cooked sumptuous Chicken and Pork Adobo and we had yummy tacos for our afternoon snack. We were all so full after every meals! And what did we do the whole day? Bum around! lol. Well actually, we watched Lifestyle network the whole afternoon, waited and happily watched Iron Chef, since I am one chef wanna be here, and I must say that I love every single dish the contestant chefs prepared! All for the love of oysters, yes oysters. Although I am not so fond of oysters, but the way they present it was suprisingly yummy looking! Even the judges says that every single dish has a twist. And the team that I guessed who would win, bagged the prize!
And speaking of cook off, have you heard about the latest craze in the cooking and chef's world these days? it's the time for the Great American Sea Food cook off! of www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com and here is the dish that caught my eyes from the other recipes on the site
Texas Gulf Shrimp recipe by Chef Mark Holley from Texas. Maybe the reason why I chose this because it is made from my favorite seafood which is shrimp, and probably because it is one of our staple food from where I grew up, and knowing that shrimp tastes really good, I believe that this entry would probably bag the first prize. And yes, just look at the plating, super nice! you can practically smell the aroma of the dish! Yummy. It makes me crave for a shrimp dish now. Good thing shrimps are vastly available from where we live now, and most probably, I will hit the wet market tomorrow to get my stock! Oh, by the way, you might want to see and vote for your desired dish at the cook off challenge, all you have to do is visit their site and mark your vote, great prizes like trip to New Orleans awaits the lucky winner!
