Ayibi as in Jollibee!

This red bee mascot is so sikat at patok with the kids noh?! I didn't actually believe it myself before whenever other mommy-friends of mine tells me that their kids are so adik with Jollibee. But now, a total convert. As in, and Olin is my living active proof. Ayibi! Ayibi!"
Ang totoo cute talaga whenever we see Olin so happy with her bestfriend, lahat ng commercial nito lalo na yung 30 years anniversary with the song " mahal tayo ni Jollibee!" ay panalo, talagang mega dance number ang render ni Olin at sigaw at irit! funny talaga!

facial session

After a stressful and busy week my husband gave me a well deserve me-time that I opted to spend it in the mall to buy some personal stuff I've been needing and had a facial treatment too! Although I got no problem with pimples that is why having an acne treatments is not on the list, black and white heads are the ones I'm having a hard time with. That is why I opted for a botanical treatments that is said to remove all those unwanted blackheads forever. Oh well, I'm hoping for the best though, even if the treatment won't be able to stick with its promise of getting rid all my whatnots at least minimize the sprouting will do good, and a monthly facial will do the job for that.

Now let me tell you a secret, when I was in High School and College I never ever wear a chemise under my school uniform even if it is required for the female students, the reason? because I find it too hot! wearing long sleeved blouse with an under garment is a torture don't you think? but if those chemise would like the one in the picture I might! you see how cute and sexy it is? but I'm sure it wouldn't look nice with an all white school uniform, but it might work as a lingerie. I hope to find one like this on the local stores, now that I'm wanting to have one sexy night piece.

Tuesday blurbs

Now that we don't have a nanny anymore, thus making me do all the stuff here in the house and when I say all that means totally everything! It has been more than a week now since I became the domesticated queen of this house and to tell you honestly, I'm loving it! not in a sarcastic loving way, but honest to goodness loving what I am doing now, all the while I thought that myself wouldn't be fit to house chores and taking care of a toddler, but I was totally wrong! Anyways, since we are now living help-less the husband also gives up some of his hobby time to help me and take part of the daily chores. Imagine he wasn't joining his friends for some air gun match and hunting sprees, well I told him that if he really wants to he still can, actually I've been thinking of getting him one of those BDU Pants he can use for his hunting and air soft games.

what the?!

Been watching the late night news program and I learned that the electric company will also be marking up their prices this coming May. Aren't we having enough? Rice, Gas and common commodities had gone increased the price and now our electric billings will raise up too. This is so much for the common people! The Government must have an up to date and more techy budget software so they can really study the situation right now, the burden of this crisis is being carried for so long by the average level of people and it is a tiring state. I myself being a housewife who handles the budgeting can't even imagine how to spend wisely every cents and pesos the husbands hands over to me, sometimes we can't help but call it short and has to adjust a little bit more in order to accommodate the things we need to prioritize. The situation can really make your mind tweak.

my 27

Yes, I am now twenty seven. And how did we celebrate my natal day? We just had a simple family get together at Water Camp Resort, again?! yes, we truly enjoyed our stay there with my in-laws thats why my cousins and I decided to bring the kids there and had it schedule on my birthday. Anyways, aunts and cousins were prepared for the waters that is why everyone brought along a pool gear with them, and during one of the talks, one of my aunts asked if anybody knows a good and effective diet pills she can take because her body is getting wider and bigger as time goes by, actually, everybody is having the same dilemma! I also does need one big help actually, I even can't look at myself in the mirror nowadays, it's really screaming loud! my fats I mean. lol

baby crib dilemma

A friend will be having her first baby next month and she was asking me where can she get those cute and compact baby cribs, actually she saw my daughter's crib and she loves it, but the thing is I didn't know where my Mother in Law got it, you see it was a hand-me-down thing from the eldest grandson of my In Law's side.So what I did was asked her where she bought it, again unfortunately she also forgot! It was so funny that I suggested to my friend that she just scout the malls and those nearby baby shops and see if there is anything that matches the style and compact ability of the crib we have now. I hope she'll be able to get one.

busy day today

The husband is on his way to SM Bacoor Parking Lot for the QAR Car Show. Yes, he will be joining! For the Best 4x4 division and the Best Paint Straight Category. I wasn't able to join him as of this moment because there will be a wedding this afternoon that I will be hosting, so I need to relax and beautify myself first. hehehe. But of course I would be joining him after the wedding, probably in the evening, when most of the spectators are coming in to watch while those many car insurance agents will also be on their feet around the area scouting for prospective clients. This is so exciting! I can't wait for the wedding to finish so I can drive myself fast to the show and see the husband!
And yeah, tomorrow will be another busy day for me, first a photographer gig on a children's party during the afternoon to be followed by a wedding hosting for a high school friend! :) now that's busy-ness life eh? :)

leaving on a jet plane

My father was, just this afternoon. China Airlines bound to Taipei - San Francisco - Atlanta - Miami. Yes with that so many connecting flight, it definitely would be a tiring trip for my dad... Pero even though he has been working as an OFW for more than a decade now our family has never learned to accept the sadness it always brought us whenever my papa leaves. Expect a tearful goodbyes a few days before he flies, and what more when we are in the departure area of the airport!? ay grabe na... iyakan blues talaga. My father ever since was not shy or even stop himself from crying whenever he feels to. Sa kanya ko ata nakuha yun, kaya lahat ng bagay iniiyak ko lalo na kapag nakakalungkot talaga.

It's just sad, really. Sigurado iniisip nya ngayon ang apo nya, baka kaya di makatulog si Olin now, it's way past her bed time na pero ingit ng ingit pa rin.

Sometimes I can't help myself to blame pa rin the Government sa lungkot na everytime namin pinagdadaanan sa tuwing umaalis si Papa... if only merong mga jobs na talaga namang pwede for the people that they wouldn't have to go out of the country in search for better opportunities eh di sana always happy family ang setting namin... walang good byes, walang naiiwan, walang mag-isang binubuno ang hirap ng trabaho just to provide a well deserve living for the family. If only...

It's just sad. Sana mayaman na lang kami. Sana di na naalis si Papa :(

today's rant

I am really pissed! You want to know why? because my Watermark Factory instalation path cannot be detected by my laptop, whatta?! I just cannot believe what the prompter keep on appearing in front of my face, error here and error there! This can't be! for one, I was able to use it like three days ago and was able to mark my photos so well, and two, no one is touching that program, not that the husband is not allow to use it but he opt not to click any program and softwares install on this laptop, he only uses mozilla browser. Great right? now who to run when things like these happens? no one! argh... oh God, I need my anti wrinkle cream now or else I'll look ten years older!

fashion job

I was watching PGKNB earlier today wherein Doctors and staffs from St. Luke's Hospital were the ones who played on their special round. Anyways, I noticed that there were a contestant who wears a very fashionable medical id necklace. At first I thought it was some sort of a logo or something but when the camera slightly focuses on her face and neck then I realized it was a medical thing related! It was so nice and it's like being so proud to what you do in real life, aside from the College ring most of the career peeps wear.

teacher site

One of my childhood dreams is to become a teacher, I really don't know what struck me with that idea, maybe it's because the power a teacher has every time she speaks or something, imagine everyone in the classroom listens and obey to her teachings, command or whatever. Until I was in high school, I sometimes even pretend to be my classmates teacher once in a while. But then when I got in College I refuse to take up Teaching course, maybe because I got myself into thinking of working outside the country in the future or something not even considering the fact that there are so many teachers being needed to work in the rich countries all over the world! I should had have taken that course. But it was all over and done, what I usually do now is just read stories and everything that interests me with regards to teacher's stories and their life with their profession, one of this Timely Teacher Talk is a blog of a retired teacher, Betty B. I love her stories thats why I keep on coming back to her site.

watercamp getaway

Last Saturday, my SIL Beegel invited for a family getaway at Josephine's Water Camp Resort. I couldn't remember the last time I went to that place that's why I was so surprised to see all the improvements and how it become so nice. And yes, we never thought that the place would be so jump packed with people that we ended up getting those pricey tables for rent located at the second floor, because even the inns and cottages are full and are reserved already. But it was all good! everyone enjoyed the dip and the pools! as for me, the red flag is up kaya puro chibog lang ako! lol
Anyways, here are some of the photos taken during our outing...

We took off around 9am already, not in mind that there would be a lot of people who are scheduled for a swim too. And it was a Saturday, it was a lesson learned -to arrive at the place a little earlier specially when no reservation was made whatsoever.

Now here's a photo snap of the mag-kuya: Myk and Olin -all ready for a dip! but the adults are still making hakot the foods and everything thats why they waited for like an hour before hitting the waters :)

A view near our spot, crowds are mostly still in their cottages because the sun is still scorching hot during these times, thats why only few peeps can be seen enjoying the lazy river and the fun pool.

And because we (hubby and I) are so unprepared for this family outing, we weren't able to get Olin inflatables kasi she only has her mini pool here sa house that she uses, no inflatable balls or anything, kaya we opt to buy her na lang at Water Camp, good thing they were selling a lot of items but marked up a little higher compared sa mall. You see here, Olin being carried by her yaya pointing on the pink princess ball while muttering "etoh etoh etoh, bibi!"

So we got her this... mini-boat type float that cost 150 bucks. Di ba, it's expensive and with the quality...not worth it, pero no choice Olin has to have one kasi...

Here naman is her cousin Gab so in love with the water! She has her Hello Kitty boat float that Olin really likes, kaya when she saw the float immediately she rides on it and pretends to drive! with shouting "Bipbip Bip!" ... guess we have a future race car driver eh?

Anyways, di nyo na naitatanong my tot were so afraid of the pool! as in, we didn't know why, maybe because maraming tao or malaki yung pool for her... were still not sure. Kaya we have to patiently wait until she can get a hang of it, cold blue water and all...

Look naman at her facial expression! ayaw niyang magpabitaw! grabe she cried her heart out loud for like 15 minutes. It was only Ate Mean who's with her during the first few minutes kasi the husband is still grilling the liempo, while I nasa may pool side lang watching and talking to her...

Until the husband came to the rescue! He can't bear the cries of her daughter kaya he leave the grilling thing to my BIL and quickly jumps to the pool and join the rest of the family... Only then Olin stops crying :) it was so nice seeing the two of them enjoying, I wish to join but then... red flag day :(

But of course, magpapahuli naman ba tayo sa picture-picture?! NOT! kaya kahit di makapag-swim, emote na lang to the max! lol.
First photo were taken before I pigged out the foods my SIL brought -- Liempo, Paksiw na Pata, Adobo, Mangga't Bagoong ni MIL, and Oysters! yes, first time to eat one piece of that slimy seafood... and considered it my last :) don't bother to ask why. hehehehe
We went home around 6pm already, everyone was so tired that Olin ended up sleeping while on our way home...

need a shutter

The summer heat is really draining me! The a/c is running most of the time thus making us so nervous on the up coming electric bill, with that we try to stay most of the time in our terrace so at least we can save up a little on our monthly dues while enjoying the nature's fresh clean air specially in the afternoon. But what bothers us are the frequent pass by of our neighbors thus seeing us and everything that we do on our terrace, so I asked my husband to look for a exterior shutters we can put up for a little privacy. I only hope that it's not that expensive, because the husband might flaired up more with the expenses!

pay up!

And guess what? I just got a call from my credit card company today telling me that my due date had gone past already! argh! how could i miss it for the world?! i was caught speechless by the operator who bluntly tells me to immediately pay my dues. that is one of the many effects of the holiday season and the birthday preparation i am so into nowadays. now i have to face the consequences of my memory gap moments, pay the overdue charge. that made me think of better ways i can handle my bills that i need to pay monthly, somebody suggested to have a debt consolidation for my credit card billings. that way, i can keep track of my due dates in an easy way. no need for the humiliating call of the credit card agents. argh.

talent show

With the rise of Filipino talents conquering the web world, using live broadcast to showcase their craft, many talented and the not so talented youngsters are into doing the same stuff hoping they'd get to be famous too in next coming days like for example the sensational Charice Pempengco who were featured and interviewed at the Ellen DeGeneres show. That is why signing and creating an accounts to those live tv and live show sites are what these wannabe youngsters are doing now, since all they need is an internet connection and a website and voila, they can perform and have their video posted for the others to see! and hopefully, they'd get to notice too.

College course

It's summer once again and school vacation is already starting, but for the newly grads out there this time of the year is their busiest, with all the entrance exams and screenings to their choice of Colleges, toxic is what their situation right now. Anyways, I heard that pharmacy technician are one of the in demand courses being enrolled by students since pharmacy tech are also one of the in demand jobs outside the country, with the high pharmacy technician salary being offered by large overseas companies, who wouldn't want to take this course up?

food food food

I was doing my regular blog reading when I found myself salivating on KC Concepcion's post about certain pizza store apparently her aunt owns -- er, I'm not sure but something like that-- anyways, back to pizza and food... I just came from a night out KTV session with ex-officemates and my stomach now is at it's blasting point from the foods I ate earlier, now I'm needing a Kremil S! but when I saw this pizza shot I took a few weeks ago, I can't help but ask the husband to order! I'm twisted.
now I need to look for university online for my cousin.

ei, you might wanna join here!

the yaya is leaving

us for good... After more than a year she will soon -er make that in 4 days time- be going back to her family in Isabela. I really felt bad and sad at the same when I learned from the husband that Ate Mean texted him the other day to say that she will only going to finish her last cut off. Remember the nine days vacation she had last week? well technically it was during those times when she realizes that her kids needed her more than anyone else, her brother and her mom are not enough to provide the care the mother has to give her children. That is why her elder bro promised to help her and the kids financially when she comes back to the province. We truly understand, who wouldn't right? kaso, sayang talaga! she's really good with the house and Olin. Naiiyak nga siya earlier when we talk about her leaving. But then again, life has to move on... there are things and people that needs her more than us... It's just sad at nakaka-miss na agad cia...

flashy tv

On a much lighter note, my dad told me that if I'm interested he can buy us an LCD television once he get back to Florida in a price I couldn't believe! I mean, from what I saw on the home appliances part of the mall the LCD prices are so high I can't even imagine myself buying one of that kind. Yes I can buy something related to those flashy LCD like a less expensive tv mount but not the television unit itself! Anyways, we'll see, once my dad gets to check the price when he gets back to Florida he'll send me a message right away and from then, we will decide if I can afford to get one. Keeping my hopes up!

will be miss

My father will soon be going back to Florida, yes, his vacation is almost over. After two months of spending some quality time with us, he will again be headed to another six months of non stop work. We are all beginning to feel sad, because we will miss him terribly specially Olin who has learned to get used to his carry-all-the-time thing, for sure Papa will miss his grand daughter more. Tears will sure be flowing once again from my mom, I really hate good byes. I just hate it, if only he doesn't have to leave the country, but we all know that living a life here is a getting more and more difficult making no choice for most of the bread winners to leave and work in another country to provide a little more for the family. And besides the income he earns from his work my dad gets a lot of perks from his company like medicare part d and some other insurance benefits. This are some of the things he wouldn't be able to get if he works here, right? If only the government can make a little more effort in providing jobs, fathers and mothers wouldn't have to leave their kids. This is just another sentiments I feel and I'm sure a lot of people also have this kind of thoughts.

photo invation

I suddenly realized that I got tons of recent photos that hasn't been shared here... yeah, yeah, the laziness virus got me too! making me so tamad on posting and updating my blogs... my bad... so to cover up for the lost times, let me share to you our random escapades captured :)

my toddler doing her walking stints in a grassy ground of Our Lady of Lourdes... she must have love the cool breezy weather of the place because she doesn't thrown any tantrums or pag-totoyo the whole time we were there :) I was in heaven!

some yummy treats from the locals making kulit on the people having their best time exploring the city... sometimes they can really ick you, but then again they are just doing the best they can to earn some moolah... we ended up buying my favorite Espasol :)

lined up Stations of the Cross at one church --that I forgot.

some yummy organic lettuce, cane vinegar, tomatoes, cucumber up for sale- a common scenario in Tagaytay. we brought some good quantity of lettuce -- veggie lovers ine! :)

Visita Iglesia

here are my random shots from our Visita Iglesia last Maundy Thursday, or was it Holy Wednesday, oh yeah we had an anticipated church visits this year so it was all taken on a Wednesday... yada, yada, yada. Anyways, I'm supposed to arrange the photos accordingly but then my lappy is acting up thus I will just leave you with random snaps of yours truly :)
bdw, we had a Tagaytay church visits that is why most of the pics were taken at the beautiful city :) thank God for an uber nice weather too!

above is the ever famous Holy Spirit Adoration Chapel or the so called The Pink Sisters, wherein the nuns are actually wearing pink habits (?!)... what made this church famous are the cloister cookies that the nuns made by themselves -having a tag line 'baked by praying hands' ... so heavenly! and yeah, they also have this little space in the chapel wherein you can write your wish and petitions on a paper, drop it in the corresponding slots and voila, the sisters will be the one to raise that prayers of request in their prayers, so it's like a fast forward thing... well, if you know what I mean.

here are the cast and crew of the family :) the boys were not in the picture, having their pee-break :)

a photo of my two :) this is the second year of Visita Iglesia for Olin -she had her first last year when she was 2 1/2 months old. And of course my day wouldn't be complete without my solo-shot! lol... emotera!

my pops with his two bunso :)

the first photo is the uber big Crucifix in a floating kinda thing set up in St. Jude Parish at Trece Martires City, our first stop for our Station of Cross.

here's us -- on our 6th or 7th station

Holy Cross Parish -- Indang Cavite

Our Lady of Lourdes - Tagaytay City

Angels Hills -- Tagaytay City beside the Pink Sisters

we finished our church visitation around 8 pm already because we headed straight pa to Cavite City, and there are more than 10 churches pa! It was a tiring trip but spiritually fulfilling.
