today that was

It's past midnight and yes, I am still up and blogging! Because I wasn't to finish all my online stuff earlier thats why I am now almost cramming! The reason behind all this? Sudden call for grocery shopping. This morning when the husband wakes up, he headed straight to the cupboard and found an almost emptied shelves! He then rushes to the sleeping mother slash wife, yup! that's me! :) and told me that we need to stock up on supplies, today. Wow, excited?! lol... anyways, so we geared up and went to the mall's supermarket, good thing it is a Monday thus making the lanes not so busy. After we were done with the cashier, another clerk approaches us and told us to claim our prize for their product promotion, and guess what we got? some good promotional pens! It was alright, at least we got something out of the thousand bucks we purchased from them. After our grocery moments, we headed home since we don't have any plans for any malling, and by doing so would mean one thing, additional expenses! we need to avoid that, frugal living is a must especially this days.

share the love

Got this from my friend AI... thanks girl! :)

This award is extra special because Crystal created it in honor of the donor who saved her sons life. Her son Noah had to have a heart transplant when he was just over a month old. This award is supposed to help raise awareness of the importance of organ donation.

So, here are the rules Crystal gave:

“The rules of this award are: SHARE THE LOVE!!! Share this award with all those blogs out there that you love. All the people who make you smile. All those that make you laugh. All those that make your day. All those that leave uplifting comments on your blog. **All I ask, is that you include a link to this post with the award and ask your recipient to do the same**

As you may have recently seen on my side bar, I have finally created a custom blog award!! I have wanted to do this for a long time but never came up with something that “fit”. I didn’t want just anything. It had to be something that meant something to me. And what could mean more than Sharing the Love by giving you pieces of my heart?? So I created this award in Honor Of The Donor That Saved Noah’s Life. I share this award with those of you whose love and friendship have enriched my life and made my world a better place.

I hope by passing this award around the blogging world we can all help raise awareness of the need for Organ Donation.

passing this to all of my twitter friends and to my sister Jonah

webby design

Just last night, I exchange emails with a blogger slash mommy friend of mine regarding questions and inquiries on domain and hosting for my other blog, something that I've been neglecting for more than five months or so. Suddenly I just had the urge to run it again, one is because I'm getting bored and tired with my other blogs that I keep on updating, two, I wanted to join the bandwagon of friends who are using the same free blog homes. Good thing, Joy who works as a web site designer happens to know someone whom I can get in touch with regards to domain and hosting of my soon to launch new site. Actually, there are many sites that gives network solutions to different woes of people like me, whom is not that particular with the designs and other stuffs related to sites renovation and building. Until I came to saw www.networksolutions.com, a website that teaches those who would want to create on their own a website with their own design that they chose. Or they can also hook you up with professional website designer for you to be able to get your site moving. They even has packages that catches my interests, with very affordable prices that wouldn't make you feel the slash from the pocket.
This site is made for those who are serious in making a professional looking website, and for those who are willing to learn and get it done in a jiffy.

vacation dreaming

One of the many things the husband and I do for our bonding moments is by watching movies, yes we do go to the cinemas but we usually rent videos and buy dvd's of those we really love to watch over and over. Maybe one of the reason we love seeing foreign flicks is the location set itself, more often than not, we prefer those movies that has a great setting, like for example if it was set in the big apple, I mean, even if we are still clueless about that famous city because we never got the chance to travel that far, by seeing a movie captured in that place we can at least have an idea of the so many Things to do in New York City! It's just like having a moving tour, getting familiar in places surrounding the city. Of course, if given a chance, we would love to go places, there are so hundreds of dream vacation spots in our list actually, hoping and dreaming that in the future, we'll be able to fulfill that. But for now, what I can do is just browsed and surf around online travel guides being offered by tourists companies like the famous Trusted Tours & Attractions company, known for their for available discounted tickets and the best sight seeing tours for those who would want to travel. They are known for their best deals packages and detailed schedule like for example of things to do in San Francisco. Anyways, if you too are having this dream vacation planning or just want to surf and read, you can register in their newsletter sign-up page for future infos and promos.

What I Love Most About Being a Mom.

Mai - a fellow mommy friend tagged me with this special question:

What I Love Most About Being a Mom.

1. having the most special feeling after the traumatic giving birth moment... seeing my daughter was my happiest.
2. receiving hugs and kisses in the most unexpected times, even when I am so mad, Olin will just approach me and would love (hug) and kisses me-- with lips so pouted! the cutest!

3. being treated well during Mother's day and almost everyday.... the husband appreciates me-- being a good mother and all :)
4. memorizing and reciting nursery rhymes, abc's and counting 1-10 before bedtime and in the morning.

5. having the next child superstar -- with all the dancing and singing and tricks being done in front of you.
6. having someone who enjoys the sound of the rain -giggles and all-
7. having a little human embraces you in the middle of my sleep...
8. after a whole day of work, just by seeing her smile makes my tiredness go away.
9. now I know how my own mother feels about me...
10. learning what unconditional love is.

let me pass this to KRISTINE, APOLS, LIZZ, LITZIE and all my mommy friends here! :)

cell

As I've mentioned on my other blog, one of the things that keeps me preoccupied this past few days are sites hopping on medicine related sites, you see after the medical check ups my daughter has undergone it actually made me a more paranoid mother! I mean, after learning that there are things you should take in particularly give attention to, like how your baby is growing, if it is according to her age or if she is delayed on this or that. That is why I am so thankful for parenting sites that gives almost all answers to my questions, and even more! Anyways, after browsing hundreds of sites, there is this one thing that caught my attention, it is about this Cryo-Cell Innovative Stem Cell Solutions it is actually made to and by Cryo-Cell's "Protect Baby, Protect Mom" a stem cell procedure being taken from the baby's umbilical cord, since the cells from their own umbilical is 100% match for your baby and there is also a 1 in 4 possibility that your newborn's U-Cord specimen may be a match for his or her siblings and even to the mother and mother's relative! This protect baby, protect mom combination service provides enhanced family safeguard protection and a family healthcare investment that may potentially increase in value over time as regenerative medical therapies emerge. Actually when I was still pregnant I already heard about this but the thing is there are only few or only one hospital that do this, and the fact that it actually cost more than a hundred thousand bucks. But from what I read on the official website, this "Protect Baby, Protect Mom" Special Limited-Time Introductory Offer for those interested to get this procedure done. So if you are interested, check out their site for more informations.

On Rainy Days

something from N@W forum... Rainy Thursday Q's
here it goes...

1. Complete this sentence.
I hate it when it rains because I cannot wear pants when going out for it well surely get wet!

2. My number one comfort food during rainy days is: Champorado or Lugaw with tokwa't baboy! oh so yummy!

3. What is the worst typhoon event you can remember (year and/or typhoon name) and why?
For me it was MILENYO... I saw how it damages a lot of properties in our area... tsk,tsk,tsk..

4. Were you allowed to play in the rain when you were a child? What was the experience like? Would you allow your kids to play in the rain?
Most of the time no. My mom only allows me if my neighborhood friends are already playing in the rain, when she sees me so green with envy! then she allows me... for a good fifteen minutes! kill joy! wahahaha

5. Is there something you and hubby love to do together on a rainy day? (c'mon 'fess up.we're all adults here.we could use some R-18 posts once in a while)
We both love rainy days! that is when we can cuddle all day, eat and sleep kind of thing. But when he has to work, I just focus on my handcrafted jewelry making, from glass and plastic beads -this was when I was pregnant. But now that we have a kid in tow, we three cuddled all day.

Best Jeans

With so many news and latest clicks on different sites, I saw this Best Jeans For Your Body article by Redbook of Yahoo dot com... so for those who weren't able to catch this featured post, here it goes...

The Best Jeans: Flat Behind

The key to going from flat to flattering is finding a pair of jeans with some Lycra or spandex for lift, wide-set back pockets to break up the turf back there, and embellished stitching to define roundness. Most important, stay away from stiff denim — it will
flatten your backside like a pancake!

The Best Jeans: Bubble Behind

Women with the coveted "bubble behind" have a not-so-coveted challenge: to find jeans that fit their derriere but don't gape at the waist. Jeans with a high waist and/or a contoured seam above the back pockets (instead of dipping, it should crest upward toward the waist) are most likely to hold in your curves. Also, choose a pair with some stretch for a sag-free fit.

The Best Jeans: No Behind

The trick to creating a backside where there really isn't one is to wear jeans with eye-catching posterior details, like flap or button pockets and multicolored designer stitching, which help give the illusion of a little junk in the trunk. Nana says, "These are so comfortable, and I love that my rear didn't get lost in them!"

The Best Jeans: Triangle Behind

A triangle behind (widest where your hips meet the thighs) is in need of some balance. The ideal pair of jeans is one made of a heavyweight denim with only a little stretch, to help round out the bottom of your derriere. Also, strategically placed pockets — ones that are on a diagonal or set high toward the waist — keep eyes focused on the center of your butt and not on your outer thighs to achieve balance.

The Best Jeans: Wide Behind

Rule No. 1 for making a wide posterior look great: Avoid wide-leg jeans, which cling to your widest point and nowhere else. Straight-leg or boot-cut shapes — with closely set pockets that draw eyes to the center — are better because they don't use too much fabric. Instead, they skim your curves, highlighting your best assets.

The Best Jeans: Low Behind

Ladies with low rear ends need a little lift. Look for slim-fit jeans — they give the illusion of a higher rear because they make legs look longer and sleeker. But avoid jeans with no back pockets — without distracting details, the jeans will make your posterior look lower (and bigger!) than it actually is.

Isn't so helpful? now we can review this article just before we go for denim shopping and everything will fit perfectly! :)

Father's Day

We actually celebrated Father's Day last Saturday, went out malling, just the three of us. Since we have no plans whatsoever for Sunday but to hear mass until an invitation for an impromptu Tagaytay getaway from my in laws. Anyways, here are some of the photos I took using my camera phone at the mall, it was the little girl's day out as you can see. She had so much fun riding all those token rides, she almost rode all of those kiddie rides! good thing it was only six pesos per ride (?) not sure though.

We also had our grocery shopping done that day, and I canvassed for a hard disk memory in the computer supplies shops at the third floor too, way to expensive, thus made me decide to pass for the purchase.

the photo above were taken after her kiddie ride moments, she doesn't want to leave actually, can you see how sad she was? bitin pa nga! lol

Father's day... Went to Tagaytay with the in laws, we had lunch there and then accompany my MIL to Mohogany Market to buy beef meat.. after some pasyal we went to the Pink Sister's Chapel for the 5pm mass.

Here is the little brat outside the church, since we couldn't stay inside for she always shouts her heart out! anyways, lookie, she now can wear pants! :)

And here is our super close up family picture to cap off my Father's day post... :) and yeah, had to pass by Mushroom Burger (FIL craved for some burgers) before we leave the foggy city...

nada

Tomorrow is Father's day, and guess what? we haven't got any present ready for my dad and my father in law. Bummer I know, but there is always next time right? or maybe we can get something for them in the next few days to come, just when we have enough moolah to cover for that. Last year I was able to give my dad (he was here for a vacation last dad's day) one of those personalized gifts that I ordered online, a caricature art of him in an twenty by twenty four canvass. He loved it totally! it is displayed in their bedroom. But I still believe that it is not the present that would every occasion memorable, but its the presence and the love we give to every celebrant.
And to all the fathers out there specially to my husband.... HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

3rd

Last June 10 was the 3rd birthday of my niece slash inaanak Julianna, we celebrated it the simplest way just like what her older sister had a few weeks back. Closest friends and family came to greet her on her special day, but as I notice there were only few gifts she was able to received. And yes, I wasn't able to get her a gift too! because we weren't got any spare time to run to the mall and get her a toy or something. If only there are clickable sites like www.buy.com where we can easily order some of the famous yet affordable best buy items over the net, I'm sure we won't have to attend a party empty handed with a gift.

the kids who were so happy while singing Happy Birthday for the 5th time! :)

the cousins blowing the candle

the super kulit celebrant Julianna

But anyways, there is always a next time to get her one, and yeah, although we weren't able to give her a gift, I were able to prepare some yummy gelatin for her party! I guess, it wasn't that bad after all, right?

Happy Birthday Julianna! We love you!

wordless wednesday

rant for wednesday

I couldn't believe this! after my morning bathroom routine earlier I found out that we need to buy another set of bathroom faucets because the one attached to the lavatory just conked up! For two straight weeks, three broken faucets?! what's up with that huh? Are we the faucet destroyer family or what?! Now we have to schedule a hardware and supplies visit within this week for a replacement of another damaged item in the bathroom. Another slash in the pocket, for we have to get a more tougher replacement for that, and that would mean five hundred bucks or more for a set! Who wouldn't hate sudden expense right? Anyways, enough of the rants and raves now, need to cook lunch first and will be back with tags and my weekly meme's.

me now

A friend who saw me a few days ago asked me if I am taking some weight loss pills because as she said, I'm getting back to my pre pregnancy body. But unfortunately she's way too wrong! I mean, I haven't loose a single pound for like three months or so. And no, I am not taking diet pills either, I would really wanted too, you know, but the husband wouldn't want me to. He says that I can shed some weight in a natural way like by doing regular exercises and limit myself from chocolates and junkies. Anyways, here is my photo with my little girl (while making face) yesterday. I might look thin here, but no! my tummy bulges are just somewhere there, hiding! lol
