shock wave
Earlier today while me and my daughter were soundly asleep, we were awaken by a large scale shaking, I first thought that it was just something outside, a huge item or something crashed down or was just pushed down real hard. And then suddenly the electricity went out, right after the quake. I had to stand up and asked what is it. Good thing the husband is still not leaving the house and he too was surprised to what he experienced. After ten or fifteen minutes the electric came to life and we turn on the television and caught awed as the flash report tells about a certain explosion occurred some few kilometers away from our place. It was told that the factory of fireworks suddenly explode killing some of the workers and most of people got injured. Even the nearby establishments were affected too, mirrors and glass doors and walls were shattered into pieces. Town's municipalities were said to have been affected also. It was so huge, the news team had to cover the whole scene via their helicopter. It's heart breaking, especially knowing that lives were lost because of that incident.
But you see, before knowing what happened, I was going gaga over the cut of the electricity, I was bothered because I still have some things to finish online and being electric less can affect me real time. And it made me think of getting a portable/standby generator, you know to power in case of electricity down fall. So here I am now, reading about all year electric Tom Smith and their services that I am considering.

UV lens
Filters allow added control for the photographer of the images being produced. Sometimes they are used to make only subtle changes to images; other times the image would simply not be possible without them.
*** the above article is from Wikepedia. about UV filter, actually, a good blogger/friend Peachy advised me a few months ago that if ever i'll get a dslr make sure that i also buy a UV filter. so since the blog money still has enough, my tito Boylit were still able to snatch two UV filter for my two lenses. although tito said that even i didn't ask him he still would suggest that i should get one for the lenses. so there, another 'add ons' to my hard earned money.

Been asking myself if is it time for me to buy a new SLR? hmmm.. it has been more than a year now for my Nikky, and I believe that I'm ready for an upgrade. But what about my lenses and other accessories?! *torn*
This is the first photo of my Nikky taken by my uncle after he bought this so I can see it..

outdoor galore
there are many websites that sells out and features beautiful garden displays and furnitures, offering different kinds of materials used in their products, there are metal types, plastics, and brass. but there are that they feature as one of the best selling garden furniture and patio furniture for those who would love to have a lovely garden and outdoor set up by putting one wicker furniture with lovely patio umbrellas. Perfect for morning breakfast and afternoon tea bonding!
not only the home makers are lead to this website but also those who manage the parks and other places that have garden spaces available. you see, it is learned and proven that teak furnitures are way lot stronger than any other type of materials, thus making it a practical thing to buy, not only that, it is reasonably priced making it a must in getting a garden set. this type of furniture doesn't need extra care even if placed in a bare and uncovered area, no need to cover it for the rain and too much sun. so there, check it out yourself, who knows, you might love their lovely designs and price!

restyling crib
Anyways, i remember about three months ago, two of my closest friends decided to buy bedroom fixtures and living room furniture's at the mall and I was actually with them, we were like the ones who chooses from different designs and having it trim down to the most beautiful and the most like design. My friend decided to get a sofa that would really fit in their big living room, plus the lounge style of the sofa is something her mom would definitely love, while watching tv getting herself in a very comfortable position is something my friend would love for her mother. It was my first time actually of seeing something such occassional chairs design in the mall that time, because I only often see those types of sofas in companies as one of their office furnitures. it's a good thing manufacturers decided on creating one just right for the homes. anyways, there are websites that actually forte's in furnitures and such, like furniturefromhome.com, for the first time browsing their furnitures design I loved it right away! and here are some of the item I definitely dig from their site.

14 healthiest food
snagged this from here and thought of sharing this with you...
1. Bran muffin
- 420 calories
- 20 g fat
Eat this instead: Ham, egg and cheese on an English muffin
- 300 calories
- 12 g fat
Bran muffins are comprised of two things your body doesn't want in the morning: sugar and refined flour. Both will work to spike your blood sugar, which signals your body to start storing fat and sets you up for a mid-morning crash. And with only trace amounts of fiber, there's nothing healthy about this misunderstood muffin. The breakfast sandwich, on the other hand, is a surprisingly great way to start your day. Besides having fewer calories, fat, and carbs, it also offers about 20 grams of protein, which we really need in the morning to jumpstart our metabolism.
2. Chicken Caesar salad (dinner-size portion)
- 900 calories
- 60 g fat
Eat this instead: Grilled chicken on mixed greens
- 400 calories
- 20 g fat
Caesar salads suffer the consequences of two natural disasters: a flood of fatty dressing and a blizzard of Parmesan cheese and croutons. Even a Caesar side salad before a meal can cost you up to 500 calories. Skip the emperor treatment in favor of a simple grilled chicken breast tossed in a bed of mixed greens tossed with a balsamic vinaigrette. The vinaigrette is a vast improvement over the treacherous Caesar dressing, and the absence of a Parmesan sea means that you'll save nearly entire meal's worth of calories by making this simple swap.
3. Tuna melt
- 900 calories
- 50 g fat
Eat this instead: Roast beef or ham sandwich
- 500 calories
- 15 g fat
Plain tuna out of the can is healthy; tuna doused in mayo, shrouded in melted cheese, and slicked with another layer of dressing is not. Both ham and roast beef are packed with protein and are super-satisfying and surprisingly lean, which means you can eat the same size sandwich and save 400 calories and 35 grams of fat.
4. Chicken wrap
- 700 calories
- 35 g fat
Eat this instead: Grilled chicken sandwich
- 375 calories
- 15 g fat
The wrap itself is the real offender here, dense with fast-burning carbs and containing up to 400 calories. It's a tortilla shell pumped with a bunch of modified starch and fat. Plus the huge surface area means more room to slather dressing and pack in more cheese and meat than your typical sandwich. Definitely not a health food. A grilled chicken sandwich on a bun offers a great balance of fat, carbs, and protein, plus having a bun instead of a huge tortilla provides some much-need portion control. Bonus: Nix the mayo in favor of barbecue sauce or salsa (which is the ultimate fat-free, low-cal condiment).
5. Turkey burger
- 850 calories
- 50 g fat
Eat this instead: 7 oz sirloin steak
- 350 calories
- 20 g fat
People hear turkey and automatically think lean and healthy, but depending on the type of ground turkey and toppings used, one of these poultry patties can be every bit as fatty and caloric as a beef burger. Sirloin, on the other hand, is one of the leanest cuts of meat available, which makes for an incredibly satisfying, protein-enriched meal that will keep you feeling fuller, longer. Who wouldn't want to make this swap?
6. Fruit smoothies
- 600 calories
- 120 g sugars
Drink this instead: 100 percent fruit smoothie
- 350 calories
- 75 g sugars
Many fruit smoothies contain added sugars and high-fructose corn syrup, which means they're more milkshake than smoothie. The key here really is in the name: A 100 percent fruit smoothie made with plain yogurt instead of ice cream or sherbet will contain nearly half the calories and significantly less sugar, plus it will provide all of the vitamin and antioxidant capacity that a smoothie is supposed to have.
7. Granola bar
- 200 calories
- 15 g sugars
Eat this instead: 1 oz cheddar cheese with Triscuits
- 150 calories
- 5 g sugars
Ever wonder what keeps a granola bar together? The makers of one of America's favorite (and most misunderstood) snacks use mostly high-fructose corn syrup as their glue, which in turn quickly raises blood sugar and cancels out any of the potential benefits you might otherwise get from the oats. By switching over to good old-fashioned cheese and crackers, you swap out sugar and calories for protein and fiber. Talk about a great deal!
8. Pasta salad
- 300 calories
- 20 g fat
Eat this instead: Egg salad
- 200 calories
- 14 g fat
When the main ingredient for a snack or a side is pasta, you're asking for trouble. That's because pasta is made from highly-refined flour, which means quick-burning carbs and a huge spike in blood sugar. Not only does it save you a hundred calories, but the egg salad replaces those troublesome carbs with healthy protein, which helps fill your belly faster and keeps your metabolic fires effectively stoked.
9. Yogurt with fruit on the bottom
- 190 calories
- 30 g sugars
Eat this instead: Plain yogurt with fresh fruit mixed in
- 110 calories
- 15 g sugars
You wouldn't start your morning with a can of Coke, would you? Then you should pass on these troublesome yogurt cups since they contain as much sugar as a soft drink. Almost all of what comes directly from the "fruit" is high-fructose corn syrup. Yogurt and fruit can be a great way to start your day, but do it yourself by mixing a cup of nonfat plain yogurt with a half cup of mixed berries.
10. Bagel with cream cheese
- 700 calories
- 40 g fat
- 13g saturated
Eat this instead: Cheese omelet
- 425 calories
- 18 g fat
- 6 g saturated
Bagels are bogus. The bread is bad enough, containing 300 calories and 60 grams of carbohydrates, but tack on the liberal cream cheese schmear (by our survey of popular breakfast chains, up to 4 ounces for a single bagel!) and your "harmless" breakfast snack just got worse than a Whopper. The omelet swap will save you nearly 300 calories, plus provide a surge of metabolism-driving protein. And a recent study from the University of Connecticut found that eggs can help raise HDL (good) cholesterol.
11. Pasta primavera
- 800 calories
- 40 grams of fat (12 g saturated)
Eat this instead: 2 slices veggie pizza
- 400 calories
- 20 g fat
- 6 g saturated
Yes, there may be a few vegetables in this popular pasta dish, but there is also a ton of butter, cream, and quick-burning carbs from the mountain of noodles. If you want to stick to pasta, look for red sauce-based dishes like pasta pomodoro or penne arrabiatta (chili-spiked marinara). But ultimately, even a few slices of cheese or vegetable pizza turn out to be a relatively smart choice when the craving for Italian food strikes. Unlike the nearly bottomless pits of pasta most restaurants serve up, pizza comes in a naturally portion-controlled form: two slices and you're done. Just be sure to opt for regular or thin crust; both pan and deep dish pizza have nearly twice the calories.
12. Dried fruit
- 175 calories
- 45 g sugars
Eat this instead: Fresh fruit, like an apple or a peach
- 70 calories
- 15 g sugars
Okay, so dried fruit won't totally derail a day of good eating (unless you put down an entire bag of banana chips), but it's far from being a harmless snack. First, because the dehydrating process sucks most of the volume from the fruit, you can eat cups of the stuff, and 600 calories later, still not feel any fuller. More troubling, though, is the fact that companies like Sun-Maid and Ocean Spray almost invariably add a ton of sugar to the fruit, making Craisins closer to candy than Mother Nature's original intention. In this case, the choice is clear: Stick to the real stuff. You'll get more fiber and less sugar, a time-tested formula for superior snacking.
13. Fish sandwich
- 600 calories
- 30 g fat
- 11 g saturated
Eat this instead: Chicken sandwich
- 300 calories
- 13 g fat
- 4 g saturated
Fish is healthy. Fish battered, fried, robed in cheese, and bathed in tartar sauce is decidedly not. The lesson? It's not about the star ingredient, but the supporting cast—in this case a cadre of fat-bearing miscreants. We've seen too many chicken- and fish-based dishes ruined by overly assertive (and caloric) accoutrements. To that end, make sure your next chicken sandwich is grilled (avoid any menu item with the word "crispy," the restaurant industry's euphemism of choice for fried food), dressed with fresh produce, and topped with a low-cal sauce like barbecue, or even ketchup and mustard.
14. Stick margarine (1 Tbsp)
- 100 calories
- 11 g fat
- 2.5 g saturated
- 2.5 g trans fat
Eat this instead: Whipped butter (1 Tbsp)
- 50 calories
- 6 g fat
- 1.5 g saturated
In their haste to remove saturated fat from butter, stick margarine makers created a monster—a soft, spreadable sludge loaded with trans fats, a dangerous lipid with more concerning links to heart disease than saturated fat. Stick with the real stuff, but pick up whipped butter from brands like Land O' Lakes instead; by whipping air into the butter, manufacturers decrease the caloric density of a tablespoon of butter, plus it makes for easier spreading.

he collects!
My 23 month and 4 weeks old daughter
Got this from my weekly updates from Babycenter.com
What's your toddler doing? By 23 months, your child can probably hum and sing and make three-word sentences like "Bird fly high." An artist, she can most likely copy circles and drawings . So encourage her with a big box of crayons and plenty of paper. And she's beginning to get a handle on opposites, like tall woman, short woman or big hamburger, little hamburger.
How is your life changing? Does your child want a hug one minute and push you away the next? Don't take her vacillating needs for closeness and self-assertion personally. They're all part of growing up.
As her world view broadens, your toddler will take more of an interest in playing with other children. She might imitate how an older sibling plays soccer or follow after other kids as they play tag.
.. time flies really fast! now my daughter can practically say things without being too bulol, she's a straight talker and a sutil one! she likes to draw, doodle and crayons too! plus the fact that she's very curious in so many things! :D

Car Allowance Share
We were surprise to hear the news of our fellow blogger who recently experienced road accident, it was one major clash that made their car totally wrecked. Thank goodness none of them riding the said automobile were hurt or injured. It was a blessing in disguise after all, being saved from that experience made everyone thankful for being alive. But for those who experienced this kinds of accidents who sadly didn't make it alive are the ones I really pity, imagine those hit and run victims being flashed on the news, it really breaks my heart when the driver un-soulfully leaves their victims just like that. But for others who are quite lucky because they were just injured or hurt, I wonder if they have insurance to cover up for the experience. And if they have money to hire a professional company who can help them compensate for what they deserve to get after the accident. One good example is the auto allowance for the allowances being given to those who are assigned to drive or use a company. This way, everything is settled well and no one will be not treated unjust.

Expensive.
So we were out for almost a day today, had to finish some errands and some from the birthday party list too. Done with the cake ordering, the maker agreed on the design that I want, no Styrofoams or paper decor for the cake. We even had to pay additional amount for the gum paste, but it was alright, so as to follow my cake design.
Anyways, another reason why we had to hit the mall is to buy bottle nipples from Avent, and I was really surprised to see the amount of that two-pieces nipples! P379! oh my! that much for two rubber nipples?! how come they had to mark up the price that high!? I should have hoarded a lot of it when I bought the bottles, I happen to only get 8 spares from the last purchase kasi. Oh well, next time, we need to buy during sales and promo times to save enough money for online college Olin might take in the future.

Speaking of weddings and preparation for that special day, let me just share with you my finds online that actually helped me when I was still preparing for our wedding three years ago. I have my hands up to sites like www.fiftyflowers.com that features great collections of wedding flowers for the bride to be. They are famous for their freshly picked flowers, packed and shipped beautifully and well arranged right at your door step just in time for your wedding, wherever you are, whenever.
