It's Sunday and I am here working, er, not exactly working, my mom asked me to search for some patio furniture online, not that there's a patio in my parents house, its more of a terrace that is. So anyways, my mom just want to add some wood type of bench and some other mini stuffs as decoration for the house's terrace. You see, it has been years since we redecorate my parents house and now she just want to spice it up a bit before my dad comes home. So there, I would be checking out a lot of furniture shops online and see if there is something that would caught my mom's heart. And hopefully the good old carpenter would be able to copy the design.

Woke up this morning with a flooding bathroom! my goodness, we were all puzzled how the thing happened, then the husband saw a leak in one of the faucet pipes. So what we did was turn off for the meantime the main water bulb so the leak will stop. After breakfast the husband went out to buy the bathroom fixtures needed. It was done before noon thus having our bath time delayed for more than two hours or so. But it was all good, the waiting and all because no more leak and flooded bathroom for us!

need blinds

I am now thinking of buying a new set of window blinds for our bedroom. You see, my daughter can't sleep that long in the morning and in her afternoon nap because the room is well lit with the natural light from the outside. So I guess that having blinds will make the room a little darker if we need to, I remember when I was young my mom used to close all the windows and the door of our bedroom so I can sleep. Maybe Olin gets that from me too don't you think so? I wonder how much would it cost us for the blinds that would fit our little bedroom window. Might hit the mall this coming week. Oh my, now the brat is wide awake already with thirty minutes of nap time! so you get my point eh? go to go now...

Tuesday blurbs

Now that we don't have a nanny anymore, thus making me do all the stuff here in the house and when I say all that means totally everything! It has been more than a week now since I became the domesticated queen of this house and to tell you honestly, I'm loving it! not in a sarcastic loving way, but honest to goodness loving what I am doing now, all the while I thought that myself wouldn't be fit to house chores and taking care of a toddler, but I was totally wrong! Anyways, since we are now living help-less the husband also gives up some of his hobby time to help me and take part of the daily chores. Imagine he wasn't joining his friends for some air gun match and hunting sprees, well I told him that if he really wants to he still can, actually I've been thinking of getting him one of those BDU Pants he can use for his hunting and air soft games.

The summer heat is really draining me! The a/c is running most of the time thus making us so nervous on the up coming electric bill, with that we try to stay most of the time in our terrace so at least we can save up a little on our monthly dues while enjoying the nature's fresh clean air specially in the afternoon. But what bothers us are the frequent pass by of our neighbors thus seeing us and everything that we do on our terrace, so I asked my husband to look for a exterior shutters we can put up for a little privacy. I only hope that it's not that expensive, because the husband might flaired up more with the expenses!

On a much lighter note, my dad told me that if I'm interested he can buy us an LCD television once he get back to Florida in a price I couldn't believe! I mean, from what I saw on the home appliances part of the mall the LCD prices are so high I can't even imagine myself buying one of that kind. Yes I can buy something related to those flashy LCD like a less expensive tv mount but not the television unit itself! Anyways, we'll see, once my dad gets to check the price when he gets back to Florida he'll send me a message right away and from then, we will decide if I can afford to get one. Keeping my hopes up!

Our help came back last Tuesday, thank goodness! after an almost ten days of post Holy Week vacation. It was a busy busy days for me while she was gone, doing all the chores from cleaning the whole house, cooking, washing clothes and taking care of my toddler. It was tiring I tell you, but now I can say that I can do all those crazy stuff in a jiffy. So we are in the process of considering letting go of our help in the near future so we can save the monthly salary we allocate for another importance house expense. But that issue is to be talk out soon with the husband. Ive been hearing a lot of fellow wives are into house construction and house slash property buying this past few weeks, maybe it's because of the low exchange rates that is why acquiring properties are so in plus the fact that real estate business are now offering so many great deals that interested parties are magnetize to their blurbs and offerings. but of course there are also a lot who are into quick house sale mode being brought in by the migrating issues. as we all know a lot of families are also packing up things and moving out to another wealthy country for the greener pasture, thus making them sell their properties here. while others are into sell and rent back procedure, which honestly is a system that i'm not so familiar with, although i know the campaign for stop repossession that are being open up in open houses seminars and talks.

i am a self proclaimed OC mother. although i was never a neat freak ever since, but you see, motherhood changed me. now i want things to be so organized, i want things to be put back into its original place once somebody specially the husband used it. i want the whole house to be child proof you know, everything can be pick up by our toddler that's why everything must be kept and placed right where it should be. that is why my father advices me to get a Dymo label where i can make labels of everything in the house like for the canisters in the kitchen, the tools for the husband and the items inside the bathroom must be labeled for fuzz free searching and using. but because of uniqueness of this techy gadget, it can also be used for making your own online stamps and postage! such a sweet tool right? and because it's so small you can just keep in a place where you can reach it anytime you want to use it, no more installing the cables and attaching if to the computer for the printing process. this thing is so cool you can used it for labeling just about everything in a neatly manner. you see getting organize is such an easy thing to do now with this kinds of techy tools available for the mommy's like us!

dead tired mommy

guess what, my arms and back are aching to the nth power! just finished re-arranging our bedroom furnitures and fixtures this morning, you see ever since we moved here our things are stacked up un-accordingly. things are scattered everywhere, a total mess to be brief. and yeah, my mom calls our room a jungle! only snakes and beast are missing to complete the effect. so anyway, after the husband leave this morning and after my morning exercise, i pulled everything out of the bedroom, as in ALL and had the floor and walls wiped with disinfectant liquid and changed the curtains. then one by one i pull and carry everything back again inside this time in different location, everything was heavy! i tell you. specially the bed, oh my! so heavy! it made me wished to have one of those adjustable beds so i wouldn't have hard time re arranging it. was able to finish the clean up past lunch time already, and i was dead hungry. next stop would be the dirty kitchen.
yawn... will take a nap first ayt!

my mom has been bugging for days now, she wants me to buy a lighting fixture for my new terrace slash receiving area. now that its finished, she can't wait to see the decorations i am about to put on it. but you see although i really wanted to decorate it fully, budget restricts me. so you get the picture? but when my account has been replenished, probably i would get something like the one from Pemier Lighting website. hanging lighting fixture is what we need for the little space we have you know.

my childhood friend just got home two days earlier my father, she too works in a cruise line! anyways, she told my mom that she has plans to buy a lot or if possible a house and lot in her second board as a sea woman, shes targeting next year to be the year of her purchase, so my mom told her that they can go directly to the subdivision owner to lessen her cost for buying the land she would want to buy and if ever her money would not fit the cost of the land she can get a loan or something in a Mortgage Lender for additional funding for the house and lot. i mean, there are number of good and accredited home lender in the country today, all has different offerings from the lowest mortgage rates and interests and other add ons, actually i guess they based their standards in those US based home lenders like the Countrywide Home Loans, the number 1 in the states that helped millions of people with their house financing, debt consolidation and equity loans. like this company, good and renowned service must be the first thing to consider when applying for one. anyways, my friend is already having a thinking time right now, maybe before he board again her ship she'll decide on what to do with her planned investment.

three days before my father arrives... doing all the finishings and cleaning. i wonder how my father would react when he sees his fruits :) i haven't had it photographed when the area is all clean and the walls are painted, will try to do that later after the rain... yes, it's raining once again here in our place.. such a crazy weather eh?!

we are heading to the airport in a few more hours to fetch my father, yipee! he'll be here for a couple of months for his vacation after working non stop for the past eight months. and he will be able to see the fruits of his well earned labor, his freshly built six door apartment! that is what making us all so busy, doing the House Cleaning to our nth power, you see my father is a neat freak. he hates and i mean abhors dusts! that is why we make sure to super disinfect the house to the best that we can, remove stuffs that shouldn't be inside the house, wipe everything from the ceiling to the flooring, double checked the comfort rooms and the kitchen. good thing i have a house help to do most of the stuff in the house while i take care of our daughter, i mean i wouldn't be able to do that all by myself noh! but in some lucky parts of earth, there are quality cleaning services that are available for hire like the the ones from Maidpro.com that do all the cleaning jobs in and out of the house.

and the apartment construction is done. the workers went home this afternoon, now the place suddenly glooms, we were used to lots of talking and noises for the past three and a half months with dozen of men doing their chit chats after work and before going to sleep, the husband usually spends some time with them at nights with a round or two or their favorite alcohol drink, they weren't treated as workers here you know, they were considered friends actually. that is why they are so thankful to my mom and us for the kindness and all showered to them during their stay. and guess what, for the last five days of their work here, i was able to ask them for a little help with our mini terrace. now i got a bigger place for the veranda and got them had it all tiled up! now i'm ready for a little landscape! er mini garden. not really a landscape coz there is no left land even a bit in the area so there is no way for me to have a LED landscape lighting effect. pity me, but it's ok anyway. my mom would love to get one of those ever sassy lights for the garden! so i'll just help her get one.

redecorating

i'm thinking of getting this little house of ours a little jazz up, like putting on some summer collection kind of interior designs, you see seeing the same thing everyday makes me bored so what i'm doing now is search the net for the cheapest finds that has a summer-ry feeling kind a way. my mom suggested to change my window curtains to blinds, so light can enter more inside the small abode, and guess what? i saw a site that sells out Discount Roman Shades! and yes, upon seeing the styles and designs, i was awed! perfect for most homes! imagine not having to wash of those things just a clean wipe will do to keep it dust free! no hassle of having it remove and pinned just like with the curtains. i wish i can get grab one of those too! will try to talk to a friend whose coming home for a vacation this month end, she might be able to bring me one of those lovely blinds. we'll see...

aside from the metal framing and wire cloth that we'ved purchased yesterday with my mom for the finishings of the apartment construction, we also brought some good number of glass window slides and locks for the wood and screen doors. good thing i decided to use the bigger auto instead of the car the items that we bought are oh so bulky! i mean, we had to ask the men in the store to carry it out for us. my mom could have told me in advance that we need additional company for the items needed to be purchased. i was so tired and hungry after the trip that i found myself sleeping for good two hours yesterday afternoon. thus making me neglect my opps that are needed to be finished up, meaning i crammed all my butt out last night to meet my deadline. anyways, where am i? oh yeah i'm talking about looking for affordable steel and metals supplier, we were late for buying those items because we don't have any idea where to find those specialty stores what we got from recommendations are the retailers that sells out super marked up products, and that is a no no for us. tried looking over the net, if only there are suppliers like Petro Wire and Steel available here maybe we wouldn't have to look that far. this company is considered the premier source for steel wire cloth, perforated metal, expanded metal, bar grating and fiberglass grating.

yesterday i drove my mom to Bacoor to buy the frames and glass windows for the apartments, those are the only things needed before they can call it finish. it has been painted and just waiting for a real dry up, you see there have been inquiries already for the occupancy and the three doors had already been reserved! i guess the start of the renting will be set a little early than expected. a house warming is also being planned, a few weeks after my father's arrival probably will be the schedule. my mom is being so fuzzy excited because the house is almost one hundred percent done, some cleaning and a little of this and that and it will be all set. speaking of renting, one of my ex-officemate inquired also, she's thinking of getting her own place away from the board mates she's currently living with, the thing is that she's getting her mind so nuts with all the people surrounding her, the place she's staying now is too small for a number of female pad mates. imagine, her mind is already set that she keeps on thinking how to decorate the place, thinking of putting this and that and buying a lot of house decors. she even know where to snag discount custom blind for the small windows of the house. she would like to have a personalized blinds that would match her mood and the interiors paint. i mean, having her as our neighbor would mean one thing, happiness! right?
